WHAT ARE THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES FOR THIS PROGRAM?
Valley’s summer program is recreational, not competitive. It is a chance for children of all abilities and experience levels to come together and enjoy the game. The goal of our program is to provide a safe environment and coaching from volunteers who will teach some of the basics and provide a lot of encouragement.
Good sportsmanship will be emphasized and expected by all parents and players.
WHERE/WHEN ARE GAMES PLAYED AND HOW LONG DOES THE PROGRAM RUN?
The 2019 Summer Program will begin on Tuesday July 9th and end on Thursday August 8th. Games are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings. All age groups are scheduled from 6:30 – 8pm at the Valley Soccer Complex south of Middleburgh on Route 30.
HOW/WHEN/WHERE DO I SIGN UP?
Registrations must be received no later than May 31st to allow enough time to register players for insurance; setup teams and schedules to make sure final preparations are completed by opening day on July 9th.
WHAT ABOUT COACHING?
All coaches are volunteers, many of whom are interested parents and/or high school students with limited coaching experience at best. The quality of instruction varies depending on the expertise and motivation of the coach. Coaching clinic for summer coaches will be held prior to the start of the season. All Coaches are background checked through the Kids Safe Program sponsored by the US Youth Soccer Association.
WHAT ABOUT THE EXPENSE?
Registration Fee: $451
Family discounts apply and are calculated when players are registered at the same time.
Valley makes every attempt to keep its operating costs to a minimum. A nominal participation fee is charged to cover insurance and other operating costs for the program. Currently, a variety of corporate sponsorships assist the club in defraying the costs of T-shirts, field maintenance, program coordination and other operating expenses.
If your family cannot afford the registration fee, the club will waive it. The club’s policy is simple… No one should be prevented from playing soccer because they cannot afford to. If you are willing to commit the time, we are willing to sponsor your participation. Contact the Summer Program Coordinator for more information.
We are currently not accepting debit/credit card payments as the fees have become unreasonable and we simply cannot support it. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
